Ashraful G. Bhuiyan

I am currently working as a Professor in the Dept. of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), one of the leading public universities of Bangladesh giving special emphasis in the engineering and technological education and research. The Electrical and Electronic Engineering program of KUET is accredited by BAETE under the Washington Accord. I have also served as Visiting Professor at the University of Fukui, Japan during the years 2018-2019 and 2010-2011. I have a very long teaching/academic experience as well as student mentoring and training experience where I have worked with students from different demographic/ethnic areas, cultures and languages. 

I also served as a Dean, Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Head, Dept. of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Deputy Director of Students' Welfare at KUET. Furthermore, I worked as the Key EM LEADERS person of the Erasmus Mundus Leaders projects at KUET funded by the European Union for 5 years, where I collaborated with 20 universities in Europe and Asia. 

My research program is distinct in nature, which is very hard-core electrical and electronic engineering, interdisciplinary and material-oriented – where I concentrate on emerging high-efficiency solar cells, next generation smart materials, nanogenerators, high-power and high-speed devices and their materials, modern semiconductor growth, characterization and their devices. I have long research experience on the fabrication and characterization of modern semiconductors utilizing modern growth and characterization techniques. I have attended many international conferences, workshops and seminars around the world and I even engage in the organizing of these events.
