I am physician and public health professional focused on infectious disease control through public health interventions. I have five years of experience in a different program in Bangladesh focused on public health concerns. I worked in antimicrobial resistance surveillance with the selected pathogen in the different hospitals in Bangladesh in 2016 with a government institute, experienced with primary health care delivery program rural areas in 2017 with a national NGO. I worked with an international NGO regarding disease surveillance activities and developed different epidemiological tools for the early program starting phase in the Rohingya refugee crisis in 2017. I continued my job in WHO and contributed immensely effort on diphtheria, cholera, varicella, and COVID-19 outbreak in Rohingya camps and continuous support on early warning alert and response system platform, worked on go.data rolling out for diphtheria and COVID-19 outbreak management. Track record in control of complex programs and new projects in the humanitarian and non-humanitarian sectors.

Surveillance & Outbreak Officer – 08/2018 to continue

To strengthen emergency preparedness capacities to assess respond and report acute public health events including infectious disease outbreaks. 

To detect, verify and confirm outbreaks based on the rumors and observations from surveillance data obtained through EWARS.

To establish a mechanism for reporting suspected outbreaks at the district, Upazila, and refugees camp and health facility.

To support the continuous and reliable identification of both common and newly detected infectious diseases to enable prioritization of intervention for a stronger health system.

Capacity building of  MoH and partners in the district to rapidly respond to acute health emergencies including disease outbreaks in Rohingya refugee camps and host populations.
