About Touhid Ahmed Rana:

I have completed Bachelor of Law (LL.B) and Specialized Master of Law (LL.M) in International Commercial Law from North South University. As a Law background student, I always cherish the interest to work for the development of organizations, access to justice, human rights and corporate governance. I have been working as an Apprentice Lawyer under the District and Sessions Judge Court, Dhaka for around 2.5 years. I was a Funder Member of North South University Law and Mooting Society NSULMS. During my academic life at North South University, I had the privilege to be a participant and presenter of Street Law and Community Lawyering which was organized by North South University in collaboration with Empowerment through Law of the Common People ELCOP. Moreover, I was the Founding Sports Secretary of Law Alumni Association of North South University LAANSU.
The 1st Environmental Autumn School, 2019 was organized by Strategy for Environmental Development Foundation SED. It was a fully residential program where there were 42 national and international participants and I was one of the participants of this outstanding program. This program took place in Sheikh Hasina National Youth Center, Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Here, we have worked in several groups to draft important documents and plans regarding Climate Change & Refugees. A number of well-known scholars have taught us regarding the current and future scenario of Climate Change and Refugees (Rohingya Refugees). Moreover, under this program we have fulfilled multiple tasks to ensure a sustainable world in the upcoming days.
My write-up “Why ownership and control should be separated in a company?” has been published by The Business Standard on 8th February, 2022. In my write-up, I have tried to show the necessity of the separation of ownership and control in the companies. Mitigation of the cost of separation of ownership and control is very essential for capital growth. In my write-up, I have presented a mechanism which can be implemented to mitigate the cost. My write-up may be helpful to ensure capital growth which is important for financial development.
These are all about my skills, abilities, experience and achievements. However, I can assure that I am a quick learner, adaptive as well as an energetic person. I hope, I will be able to create a value to any organization through my dedication, sincerity and the highest level of professionalism.
