The
Data Engineer
is responsible for the successful delivery of business intelligence information to the entire organization and is experienced in BI development and implementations, and data warehousing.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Creating data models, performing ETLs and validating results with business representatives
• Manage data for BI solutions and automate data collection and management.
• Builds SQL ETL routines to move, cleanse and prepare data for reporting
• Create and manage Data pipeline in Azure and GCP environment.
• Setup data warehouse in Azure or Google cloud
• Design and develop databases and perform data extraction
• Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
• Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using SQL
• Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements
• Assemble reporting insights and develop executive summaries and trend reports
• Spot trends and data anomalies
• Provide insights and suggested ways to improve performance
• Develop forecasts and suggest testing strategies.
• Develop and prepare a schedule for a new data warehouse
• Analyze large databases and recommend appropriate optimization for the same
• Administer all requirements and design various functional specifications for data
• Evaluate all codes and ensure the quality of all project deliverables
• Monitor data warehouse work and provide subject matter expertise
• Work across various international clients, from different countries, industries, and participate in the entire BI lifecycle, focusing on reporting, data migration and dashboards.
• Work cross functionally across the project in an Agile methodology to complete user stories within the assigned sprint.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Technical skills

• 2+ years of experience with SQL and can write complex queries
• 1+ years of experience in Azure / GCP or anyother cloud data Technology.
• Expert knowledge of Relational Database and SQL Language (Data Warehouse modelling)
• Expert knowledge of Extraction, Transformation and Loading
• Good knowledge of Dimensional Modelling and development with BI tools
• Writing stored procedures/function/triggers and optimizing database queries
• Intermediate or better proficiency in Power Query
• Experience with any of the various computer languages, programs, and scripting languages such as Python, R, Bash etc would be a plus.
• Experience working with any database systems such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, any cloud database etc.
