Working in WFP for about 12 years. About 07 years in procurement and 05 years in logistics unit.

Experience

Procurement expertise for the procuring of food commodities, Services and non-food items.

Food: Expertise in the procurement of food items of rice, pulse, Oil and High energy Biscuits. Supported in L3/L2 emergency by purchasing of all local food commodities for Cox’s Bazar, Rohingya operation since 2017. 

Non–Food items: Expertise in the procurement of Administrative items or services, ICT equipment/maintenance services, Financial Service Providers, Lease Agreement, Office services, Security Services, Event Management, Surveys, Medical items and other goods and service-oriented tasks. Experience on establishing the LTA for the purchase of services or non-food times. Procured the PPE items (mask, Coverall, Face Shield, Goggles), medical items/equipment, RT PCR Kits, Lab equipment, and hygiene & cleaning items for COVID19. More than 50 medical items (about 7-8 million dollars) were purchased to support the Government during COVID19. 

TDY: 02 months TDY in Pakistan to support the Food Operation and the procurement unit of Pakistan Country Office. During this period, I have worked on Food procurement, the development of SOP for Goods and Services & Food and prepared the checklists for filing and the preparation of the report for Management.

CBT: Closely involved in the procurement process for the selection of Financial Service providers. Involved in the retailer selection also.

Other: Experience in enlisting potential suppliers through a comprehensive process. About 658 different categories of suppliers enlisted in the WFP roster in 2022.

Market analysis has been done every month for food/non-food items based on the different market prices and uploaded in SCIPS.

MBA (May 2002 to December 2004) from Asian University of Bangladesh, Dhaka. (CGPA – 3.95, out of 4.00) 

Major – Finance and Accounting

Master of Commerce (July’ 94 to June’ 96) Second class, from Department of Management, National University, Bangladesh.
