COVERING LETTER
I believe I am cut out for teaching, I have been teaching for the last 22 years, passionate about students’ progress. Started my career in Dhaka Bangladesh in Scholastica as a math teacher, migrated to England in 2009 and continued my teaching profession as a primary teacher until I decided to move back to my country in 2023.The attached CV will highlight my career accomplishments and demonstrate my capabilities. Over the past 22 years, teaching internationally helped me to embrace diversity. I have developed highly effective teaching techniques and instructional methods, which have allowed me to educate all styles of learners. I am a determined teacher which led me to achieve my teaching degrees, PGCE and eventually became a fully Qualified Teacher(UK). In addition to all my degrees, I have completed a TEFL course, teaching English as a foreign language. I intend to travel around the world and teach English as foreign language.
One of my greatest strengths is to cater to each individual student according to their specific needs. I was able to promote independent learning by providing clear learning objectives and proper guidance to achieve that effectively. I have used a variety of techniques in my classroom. To keep updated myself through online articles, discussing with my colleagues, undergoing through inset training about teaching was my priority. Safeguarding training was a training that we did every year, which I was able to reinforce on the policies regularly, that made me a complete teacher. However, there is no end to learning, I aspire to grasp more knowledge in my teaching career. Online teaching for a few months during Pandemic was a unique experience, I accomplished a positive relationship with the learners by boosting their confidence during that time.
I had the opportunity to work with special needs children with learning difficulties. Preparing a unique lesson plan according to the needs of the students was one of my job descriptions. I found myself successful as learners showed progress during that time.
I am considered as one of the most popular colleagues or co-worker in my professional setting.Humour and constant positivity by making positive comments made me one of the favorites. I have always participated in, Eid celebrations, Christmas parties and was actively involved in organizing field trips. I look forward to enhancing my teaching career and serving my country with utmost sincerity.
Experience
I am a fully Qualified Teacher (UK) and have been teaching adults and children for the past 21 years. My teaching career started in Bangladesh at a renowned English medium school named Scholastica. The journey lasted 6 years, from 2002 to 2008. I migrated to England under the now-defunct Highly Skilled Migrant Programme. With lady luck on my side, I started a job as a supply teacher within fifteen days of arrival in London. Since my inception, I have been teaching Functional Skill Maths levels 1 and 2.
Working as a Class Teacher for many years at the primary level has been the highlight of my career. Private tutoring has always been my interest since my teenage years, so I continued my private tuition (year 1 to year 7 all subjects and functional skill math level1 and 2). I was offered a permanent place as a Teacher/teacher assistant at Berger Primary School in 2011. I obliged thereby.
My perseverance to excel in the academic sector made me complete my PGCE( Postgraduate Certificate in Education)in 2019 and I also obtained my QTLS (Qualified Teacher Status) in 2021. In order to pursue my teaching career as a math teacher, level 3 in Mathematics for Numeracy Teaching was another course I completed in 2021. Working part-time in a college, teaching adults GCSE/Functional Skill Math was a unique chapter of my teaching career, which I enjoyed thoroughly.
In addition to the above qualifications, I made my first move toward Teaching English as a foreign language. By the grace of Almighty, thankfully, I was able to return to my home country in Bangladesh in March 2023. This definitely has given me a chance to serve the country. Currently, leading Spoken English course in DMLC English Language institute. I possess both Bangladeshi and British passports.
