Dr. Rasif Bin Zia

I am an MBBS graduate and Registered Doctor with a post-graduate degree in Master of Public Health with the Major in “Health Management & Development” from North South University. I have completed my internship on Public Health program & research as an intern from a highly thoughtful value-driven organization named, "VAALO avant-garde Limited”.

I believe in my technical skills and have confidence in my capabilities, which enables me to interact effectively with people from different walks of life. The relevant qualities that I possess are a mixture of my willingness to learn and adapt to diverse environments, coupled with my passion and hardworking nature.

Through my experience as an Internee Doctor & Medical Officer, I have learnt patient management meticulously. My management skills include, patient counselling, making patients ready for cardiac operations & minor dressing including secondary wound closure.

As a Program & Research Intern in VAALO avant-garde Limited, I’ve learnt about Public Health consultancy, research, & training.

1. Worked at VAALO avant-garde Ltd. as Program & Research Intern.

• Search websites for terms of reference (ToR) or request for proposal (RfP).
• Preparation of slides of power point presentation for workshop.
• Write literature review on Public Health topics.
• Write consultancy/technical proposals according to ToR or RfP.
• Search for international research grants on different websites.
• Attend meetings & write meeting minutes.
• Manage ‘Company Social Responsibility’ (CSR) programs.
• Write news on CSR program.
• Organize & attend seminar.
• Attend national advocacy meeting at intergovernmental organization (like CIRDAP).
• Attend formal planning meeting with client on assignment related work.
• Listen to Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) & write transcript.

2. Worked at National Heart Foundation Hospital & Research Institute (NHFH&RI) as Medical Officer in Cardiac Surgery Department.
