About Farah Jubaid Porshia:

I am currently pursuing my bachelors in a liberal arts university. Although my major is Economics along with Finance and Development Studies as minors, my curriculum has enabled me to learn beyond these subjects. My university has made it possible for me to discover my passion for Gender Studies. I was fascinated by how inter-connected Economics, Development and Gender hierarchy are. I have so far taken three courses in Gender Studies and I am serving as the Teaching Assistant for History of Gender at AUW. Each course has inspired me to look at development and economics differently. Finance comes into this mix and has made it possible for me to see how proper investment skills, business strategies and planning can have a tremendous impact on the economy and development.
