    The HR Specialist, within their area of responsibility, is accountable for implementing HR services that enhance the capacity of their clients to deliver on their business goals and objectives. In doing so, the incumbent demonstrates the ability to anticipate HR-related needs and develop subsequent plans and solutions that align HR management with business objectives.

    This position will entail visits to Field Offices to complement the remote HR services delivered from the Country Office Level in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The HR Specialist will be assigned a portfolio of clients including the oversight of Cox's Bazar and in addition to Contracts, Entitlements and Benefits, the incumbent will also focus on Culture & Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Staff Well-being and HR in Emergencies as areas of functional responsibility and expertise.

    To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have...

    • An Advanced University Degree in human resource management, business management, international relations, psychology or another related field is required.
    • Five years of increasingly responsible professional experience in human resource management in an international organization and/or large corporation is required.
    • Hands-on professional experience in organizational culture, diversity, equity & inclusion as well as staff well-being will be considered a strong asset.
    • Demonstrated experience linked to HR in Emergencies will be considered a strong asset.
    • Professional experience related to entitlements & benefits will be considered an asset.
    • Fluency in English & Bangla is required. Knowledge of another official UN language.
